Pharmacy Technician Supervisor Job Description

At ResCare Premier Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and guiding the orientation, training, and evaluation of pharmacy technicians, as well as overseeing pharmacy technician workflow and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and guides pharmacy technicians in their roles and responsibilities
  • Oversees pharmacy technician workflow and scheduling
  • Provides structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff
  • Fills prescription items, packages medications, and meets accuracy and productivity standards
  • Prepares medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments
  • Manages inventory functions, including monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identifying expired medications
  • Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system
  • Maintains equipment, including ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies
  • Ensures technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Performance management skills
  • As required by state regulations and business needs
