Pharmacy Technician Supervisor Job Description

At PharMerica, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our pharmacy technicians in providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads and guides orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians
• Oversees pharmacy technician workflow and scheduling
• Provides adequate structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff
• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting; leadership experience
• Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system
• Ability to operate a computer
• Workflow management skills; scheduling skills; performance management
