Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

This PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist position is based in Bellingham, WA, and involves working in a variety of environments, including a freestanding outpatient center, a mobile coach, or a hospital-based/inpatient facility.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications, using aseptic injection technique, and adhering to radiation safety regulations.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images using PET/CT technology.
- Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments.
- Train new technologists and PC's to maintain high standards of imaging care.
- Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
- State license, as required.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
- 1-2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport, radioactive isotopes, and ionizing radiation. The role requires sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs, and the ability to see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.
