Position Overview

PeaceHealth is seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology physician to provide per diem coverage in a picturesque community setting.

The compensation for this position is $249.76/hour, which includes coverage for medical malpractice with tail coverage. There may also be potential for travel stipends and reimbursement for licensing fees.

Job Responsibilities

The physician will demonstrate compassion and professionalism while delivering safe and effective care to patients and their families. Collaboration with healthcare team members is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing medical care within the scope of licensure and training.
  • Adhering to current standards of care and clinic quality criteria.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care tailored to individual needs.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an Internship/Residency in the relevant specialty.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in computer systems is required.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state and board certified or board eligible.
  • Possession of a Drug Enforcement Administration Federal Number is required.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is mandatory.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical patient management.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and skill development.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including on-call duties.
  • Must not be excluded from Medicare or Medicaid participation.
