Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Critical Care and another specialty (e.g., Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC, or Emergency).
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- PALS and NRP certifications within 30 days of hire at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital.
