Role Overview:

  • The selected candidate will be instrumental in the design and deployment of JDA Sequencing software across various client sites, contributing to the strategic framework for detailed scheduling processes throughout the global supply chain.
  • This role encompasses working with manufacturing, co-packing, and co-manufacturing operations. The detailed scheduling function is essential for creating and managing production schedules that align supply plan requirements with optimal utilization of manufacturing resources.
  • The consultant will collaborate effectively across all tiers of the client's supply chain organization to ensure successful project outcomes and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage supply chain expertise, particularly in shop floor dynamics, throughout all phases of Detailed Scheduling Implementation. This includes developing future state models, prototyping system capabilities, global deployment, and stabilization efforts. Effective change management will be crucial for project success, providing guidance and mentorship to Operations Planners during the transition.
  • Translate and communicate intricate shop floor and manufacturing system/process activities into actionable solution designs. Collaborate with key stakeholders to configure, test, and validate the future state solution.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive operational, tactical, and strategic supply plans for essential resources. Standardize work processes globally and provide necessary training. Act as a liaison between manufacturing facilities and Supply Planning teams throughout the planning and execution phases. Monitor and maintain key performance indicators.
  • Assess and implement suitable system tools and methodologies to enhance finite scheduling processes. Stay informed about emerging technologies and market trends to ensure that the client's planning processes and tools adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrate leadership by independently guiding teams, embracing innovative ideas, and sharing best practices. Act as a thought leader and mentor to department staff and internal stakeholders, fostering a network to maximize contributions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with JDA Sequencing implementation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of JDA Sequencing and detailed scheduling methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain principles and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the client supply chain.
  • Experience in a shop floor or factory environment.
  • Quickly grasp new manufacturing systems and operations to facilitate requirement translation and configurations under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods supply chain structures or similar production environments.
  • Familiarity with MRP Processes and related systems/applications, including SAP.
  • Excellent presentation, training, and communication skills.
  • Ability to design business activities with a process-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse workgroups, including senior management.
  • Ability to develop metrics and process checks from business systems.
  • Experience in planning and implementing training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships across the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. APICS certification is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams in operations management, with a focus on Detailed Scheduling, Materials Planning, Logistics, and Inventory Control strategies.
