Job DescriptionJob Summary

As a Fire Alarm Field Supervisor at MSCCN, you will manage the operations of the Fire Alarm Division, overseeing technical and administrative personnel to achieve financial and operational goals. This role involves ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, proper training, and safe working procedures for technical staff. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Fire Alarm Division, including revenue generation, cost control, and gross margin contribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the General Manager and other managers to develop financial and operational goals for the Fire Alarm Division.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the Fire Alarm Division and the efficiency of Fire Alarm personnel.
  • Establish productivity goals for technical and administrative personnel, aligning with tactical priorities of the division.
  • Achieve assigned monthly goals for revenue and cost control, correcting any budgetary deficiencies.
  • Lead technical and administrative personnel in providing high-level customer service.
  • Ensure technical personnel are highly trained in services and products, as well as safety.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all applicable industry codes.
  • Protect company assets.
Requirements
  • Possess necessary licensing and certification required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related fire alarm experience.
  • NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Proficiency with using PCs, including working knowledge of MS Excel/Word and iPhone/iPad apps.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Willingness to travel out of town, including overnight lodging.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Self-starter able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
