Internship Overview

Blue Origin is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Test Engineering Intern. This 12-week internship will provide hands-on experience in applied test engineering, including design, analysis, test planning, and operation of test systems for various systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced engineers in support of business units
  • Design, analyze, and test systems for fluid, propulsion, mechanical, avionics software, structures, GNC, and electronic systems
  • Participate in test planning and operation of test systems
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program with at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
  • Available to work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for space and interest in test engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a test environment
  • Experience with Fluid Mechanics, thermodynamics, and/or propulsion systems
  • Experience with component test, FEA, CFD
  • Experience with MATLAB or Simulink
  • Experience with programming languages including Python, C/C++
  • Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience
Compensation and Benefits
