Position Overview:

The Data/Business Analyst acts as a crucial intermediary between product stakeholders and development teams, gathering essential requirements for product design through interviews and collaborative workshops with subject matter experts and stakeholders. This role involves documenting detailed requirements and creating high-level design documentation, including activity workflows, business data dictionaries, and data mapping documents. The analyst coordinates collaboration among various teams to facilitate application development while adhering to best practices in AGILE methodologies. Regular analysis is conducted through data visualization and SQL querying to derive business-relevant insights and effectively communicate findings and potential solutions. The analyst evaluates, tests, and recommends opportunities for enhancements, working independently to develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business partners to gather and document actionable written requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and subject matter experts to create and refine screen mockups.
  • Conduct data mapping from source to target tables, understanding the intricacies and business applications of the data.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure clarity and accurate delivery of requirements.
  • Review QA scripts as necessary.
  • Utilize SQL queries for analysis as required.
  • Maintain close communication with developers to provide timely clarifications on requirements.
  • Oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for requirements and delivery between Development, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with clients or stakeholder groups to resolve issues and design solutions.
  • 2+ years in a data-intensive analysis environment.
  • Basic SQL skills; capable of creating and executing SQL scripts.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Compliance domains.
  • 1 year of experience in an Agile development setting.
  • Participation in User Acceptance Testing for at least two projects, including test script creation, execution, and defect validation.
  • Experience working directly with developers to interpret and communicate business requirements.
  • Ability to articulate the rationale behind analyses and express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in documentation using Confluence Wiki.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for workflow management.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience in crafting Epics and Stories in an Agile environment, as well as High-Level and Low-Level Design documents.
  • Effective verbal communication skills; experience facilitating meetings with executives and technical personnel.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Informatica, Oracle, Distribute, Invision, APIs, and Angular.
