Position Overview:

The Data/Business Analyst acts as a crucial intermediary between product stakeholders and development teams, responsible for gathering requirement deliverables for product design through comprehensive interviews and collaborative workshops with subject matter experts and stakeholders. This role involves documenting detailed requirements and producing high-level design documentation, workflow diagrams, business data dictionaries, and data mapping artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business partners to collect and document actionable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and subject matter experts to create and refine screen mockups.
  • Conduct data mapping from source to target tables, understanding the intricacies and business applications of the data.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure clarity and delivery of requirements.
  • Review quality assurance scripts as necessary.
  • Utilize SQL queries for analytical purposes as required.
  • Maintain close communication with developers to provide timely clarifications on requirements.
  • Oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for requirements and delivery coordination between Development, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience working with clients or stakeholder groups to resolve issues and design solutions.
  • 2+ years in a data-intensive analytical environment.
  • Basic SQL skills; capable of creating and executing SQL scripts.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Compliance domains.
  • 1 year of experience in an Agile development setting.
  • Participation in User Acceptance Testing for at least two projects, including test script creation and defect validation.
  • Experience collaborating directly with developers to communicate business requirements.
  • Ability to articulate the rationale behind analyses and convey ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience documenting in Confluence Wiki.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for workflow management.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience in drafting Epics and Stories in an Agile context, as well as High-Level and Low-Level Design documents.
  • Effective verbal communication skills; experienced in facilitating discussions with executives and technical personnel.
