POSITION SUMMARY: The Cutting Equipment Assistant supports the lead operator in the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of all cutting machinery to prepare products for packing, collating, or binding, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company policies. This role is also responsible for maintaining a steady flow of accurately jogged and measured paper sheets from jogging stations to the cutting area.
Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with eight or more hours per day based on business requirements. The primary schedule will be from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This position requires physical presence on-site.
Compensation: Salary ranges from $12.50 to $14.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weigh and jog paper in preparation for cutting.
- Ensure a continuous flow of product to the cutting section.
- Collaborate effectively with cutter operators, utilizing strong communication and judgment.
- Organize incoming batches to optimize workflow.
- Maintain and update the cutting log regularly.
- Manage waste product and recycling receptacles in the cutting areas.
- Assist colleagues as needed.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any work-related injuries, illnesses, or near misses to management immediately.
- Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and records.
- Ensure all equipment and workstations are in good condition and free of safety hazards.
- Promptly report workplace hazards to management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Participate in all department and company meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
