Equipment Calibration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Calibration Specialist to join our team at VIVEX Biologics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing the calibration of all VIVEX equipment, ensuring that calibrated equipment is operational, within calibration, and accessible for all departments to minimize disruption and/or downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement and perform technical analysis of measurement issues to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Independently determine and perform operations required to calibrate and certify equipment, maintaining traceability to NIST standards.
- Install, calibrate, repair, and replace measurement equipment and instrumentation installed in the facility.
- Develop and implement calibration procedures to expand the internal calibration program at VIVEX Biologics.
- Coordinate all external calibrations and review all calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Draft IQ/OQ protocols for equipment as needed to ensure equipment meets operational requirements.
- Execute IQ/OQs and/or verifications of equipment as needed.
- Support the department in maintaining Equipment and Facilities SOPs, Master Equipment List, Calibration Schedule, and other procedures as needed for uniformity and quality of operations and in keeping with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and current Good Tissue Practices (cGTPs).
- Support and assist with equipment repairs and maintenance in the department to ensure minimal downtime to operations.
- Assist in the upkeep of SMART metrics to improve Equipment and Facilities performance.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize effectiveness.
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years related experience preferred.
- PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), or other recognized formal calibration training preferred.

- Working Conditions:
- Majority of the work is performed indoors.
- Some work will be performed in tight spaces or in hard hat areas.
- The use of heavy machinery in enclosed areas can lead to a loud working environment.
- Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) is required to be ran on an annual basis for insurance purposes for the use of company vehicles for business purposes.
- Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift boxes, equipment, and tools up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs.
- The ability to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, both manual/automatic, and hand tools required for the job.
