Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Kitchen Manager in all aspects of the daily running of the kitchen, including planning and directing food preparation, training cooks and kitchen staff, and maintaining quality control and food safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in planning and directing food preparation, including menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control.
  • Train and develop cooks and kitchen staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain quality control and food safety procedures, including monitoring temperature control points, enforcing proper food handling and storage procedures, and conducting regular inspections.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee all product orders and products received, including inventory management and product storage procedures.
  • Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes, and waste control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required by upper management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or certification from culinary school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
