About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our food service operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of production employees to prepare and deliver finished food products to the serving areas in an efficient, timely, and proper manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective food production schedules and menus to meet customer demands and ensure high-quality food products.
  • Supervise and train production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory management, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food products meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, including scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or Associate's degree plus four years of directly related experience.
  • Minimum of two to four years of experience in food service operations, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or country club setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • Experience with inventory and purchasing management, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • ServSafe certification.
