Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for leading product development teams and managing multiple projects from conception to commercialization.
The Product Development Manager will work closely with engineering, technology, business, and manufacturing teams to design, conduct research, and develop new cable products and modify existing materials to improve product functionality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones
- Designing and conducting research projects to solve problems, improve or generate new products, components, equipment, and processes
- Developing and maintaining technical expertise on advances and innovations in research and science
- Working with customers to develop new products or enhance present products to meet market needs and provide technical engineering support in response to customer requests
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or materials engineering, with 5-15 years of experience in product development engineering or a combination with design engineering.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.

This role is based in Indianapolis, IN or Willimantic, CT, and requires occasional travel.
The employee will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment with standard office equipment and software.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
