Job Title: General Manager

At Dobbs Truck Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Parts, Service, and Truck Sales operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of frontline managers to achieve planned sales and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze activities, costs, operations, P&L statements, and forecast data to determine progress toward company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee key projects, processes, performance reports, data, and analysis to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution and improved working relationships among team members.
  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
  • Determine operations headcount needs and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in the Class 8 heavy-duty trucking industry.
  • 5 years of experience in Class 8 parts, service, and truck sales management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on a long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department's credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
