About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team at Centerpoint Construction. As a key member of our project planning and execution team, you will play a critical role in ensuring we provide competitive and realistic bids to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for shell construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses for the structural phases of the largest, most complex residential projects in Florida.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Review and assess cost estimates submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and present Excel cost reports and proposals.
  • Participate in project bid meetings and site visits.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the structural phases of construction (concrete, CMU, structural steel, deck systems, rough carpentry).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
  • Proficiency in on-screen estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and under deadline pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
