Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project estimation for various active bids.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and architects to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Solicit and monitor proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee the preparation of bid proposals, including plans, specifications, and addendums.
  • Assess bid documents for thoroughness and gather additional information as needed.
  • Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings to evaluate client needs.
  • Ensure extensive coverage from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work for each trade package based on bid documents.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of subcontractor estimates.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing.
  • Collaborate with upper management for bid review and submission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimation.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and product data.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with software tools including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and construction management and estimating software.
