V2X is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Defense Logistics and Housing Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure housing of Defense Attache Service (DAS) personnel while adhering to strict budgetary constraints. You will also play a key role in managing household goods policies and coordinating with various government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive plans for the operation and management of government-owned and leased properties to meet the needs of DAS personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the Department of State to effectively manage family housing programs, including expenses, furniture, and appliances.
  • Provide direct oversight of DAS household goods policies and related logistical matters, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Department of Defense, Per Diem Travel and Transportation Allowance Committee, Other Defense Agencies (ODAs), and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maximize budgetary resources by anticipating requisition requirements and reviewing operative requisitions.
  • Attend meetings and briefings with relevant stakeholders, including DAS Geo-Division Operations Coordinators (OPSCO) and Operations Non-Commission Officers (OPSNCO), to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Act as the DAS ombudsman for family housing, family housing expenses, furniture, appliances, household goods policy, and other related logistical matters, providing support and guidance to DAS personnel and their families.
  • Manage and monitor transportation, travel, and household goods support resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Provide expert advice and support on relevant regulations, guidelines, laws, and directives to both internal and external stakeholders.
