Job Summary
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Professional Military Education Specialist to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Readiness (OUSD-R)/Force Education and Training (FE&T) Military Education office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Joint Professional Military Educational (JPME) programs and curricula for military personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PME curricula aligned with current military doctrine, strategies, and operational needs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of service members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of course content.
- Implement instructional strategies and methodologies conducive to adult learning and professional development.
- Facilitate courses, workshops, and seminars on military history, leadership, strategy, and operational art to service members of various ranks.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of PME courses to ensure they meet learning objectives and are updated according to changes in military strategies and technologies.
- Collaborate with senior military officials and educators to assess training needs and develop learning objectives.
- Manage the logistical aspects of PME course delivery, including scheduling, materials procurement, and technology resources.
- Utilize a variety of teaching aids and instructional technology platforms to enhance learning experiences.
- Analyze feedback from course participants and make adjustments to improve course effectiveness and student satisfaction.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and emerging military challenges.
- Contribute to scholarly research and writing in the field of military education and doctrine.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and manage relationships with educational institutions, defense agencies, and international military education organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of related experience, or Master's degree in Education, Military History, National Security, or a related field and thirteen (13) years or more related experience.
- Extensive experience in military operations, planning, and/or training.
- Familiarity with the structure, culture, and needs of military organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate professional educational programs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with military personnel and civilians.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of initiative, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
Clearance Requirements
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Desired Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in military operations, planning, and/or training.
- Familiarity with the structure, culture, and needs of military organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate professional educational programs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with military personnel and civilians.

- Previous Pentagon or FE&T experience.
- Previous Military Education assessment research and recommended outcomes.
