This role focuses on the performance evaluation of Arm CPUs and integrated System IP in both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases. Collaborating with design teams and stakeholders, you will help create leading-edge silicon solutions across various sectors, including client computing, infrastructure, IoT, and automotive.
Key Responsibilities:In this position, you will:
- Conduct thorough architectural investigations and performance trade-off analyses across different SoC components, including CPUs, I/O, interconnects, and memory controllers.
- Characterize workloads to pinpoint performance limitations and suggest effective solutions.
- Work collaboratively with architects and IP teams to achieve consensus on performance strategies.
- Over 10 years of experience in SoC performance modeling and analysis within the semiconductor sector.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a strong foundation in computer architecture and microarchitecture.
- In-depth knowledge of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, cache systems, and memory hierarchies.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale software development, along with familiarity in SystemC TLM and Python scripting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex solutions.
- Familiarity with interconnect micro-architecture design and protocols such as PCIe and CHI.
- Understanding of performance optimization workloads.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience with Unix, scripting, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
For the Principal Engineer level:
Salary Range: From $221,127 to $299,172
For the Senior Principal Engineer level:
Salary Range: From $273,020 to $369,380
