Key Responsibilities:

As a Performance Analysis Engineer, your role will involve creatively addressing and resolving architectural inquiries and performance trade-off analyses across multiple SoC components, including CPU, IO, interconnects, and memory controllers. You will conduct workload characterization to pinpoint performance limitations and suggest effective solutions. Your collaboration with architects and IP teams will be crucial in driving consensus and ensuring project success.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Over 10 years of experience in SoC performance modeling and analysis within the semiconductor sector.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a strong focus on computer architecture and microarchitecture.
  • In-depth understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale software development, along with familiarity in SystemC TLM and Python scripting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of interconnect micro-architecture design, including PCIe and CHI protocols.
  • Familiarity with workloads used for performance enhancement.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and requirements.
  • Experience with Unix, scripting, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
