Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join our team at Skedulo. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efforts and results of our accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a global team of accountants to complete day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, A/P, tax compliance, payroll, account reconciliations, and financial close process.
  • Work closely with internal and audit teams to oversee and manage all aspects of the external financial audit and ensure its timely completion.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements under GAAP and company guidelines.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing accounting team by optimizing roles and responsibilities, adjusting key processes and workflows, and making team modifications as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve financial processes and systems.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Controller for a private company, ideally at the Series C or D stage.
  • Ten or more years of experience as an accounting professional and experience with SaaS business models.
  • Possess CPA and public accounting experience at a Big Four firm.
  • Prior experience with Netsuite or similar G/L system.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a global team.
Desired Skills/Experience
  • SaaS company experience, ideally with a company above $50M in revenues and deep familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • History of building high-performance teams.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced, remote work environment with some time-zone flexibility.
Additional Requirements
  • A valid US work visa must be considered for this position upon hire.
  • Must have reliable internet connection and an at-home workstation setup.
  • Ideally located in the Pacific Time (US) zone.
