PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Janitorial Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in designated work areas, including restrooms and office spaces. The role encompasses a variety of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as managing waste disposal and cleaning equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts daily cleaning tasks both indoors and outdoors, including the management of waste disposal.
  • Performs cleaning duties during standard working hours and may include evening shifts.
  • Engages in sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting, while addressing minor maintenance issues.
  • Responsible for securing buildings as per the scheduled duties.
  • Restocks supplies in restrooms and offices, ensuring availability of necessary items.
  • Undertakes periodic cleaning tasks, such as floor waxing.
  • Dusts and cleans mechanical devices, including monitors and printers.
  • Maintains cleanliness of windows, doors, and mirrors.
  • Follows environmentally friendly cleaning protocols.
  • Contributes to the success of quality control programs.
  • Maintains regular communication with management regarding cleaning operations.
  • Interacts professionally with clients and customers.
  • Supports safety and environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Performs routine and scheduled cleaning tasks.
  • Adheres to safety standards and practices.
  • Reports to work as scheduled and completes tasks in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Understanding of custodial practices in compliance with government contracts.
  • Familiarity with environmentally sustainable cleaning methods.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and safety processes.
  • Physical endurance to perform cleaning tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to engage respectfully with clients and colleagues.
  • Capability to multitask effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in custodial or janitorial roles.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance practices.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in secure facilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
