Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Family Partnership Specialist to link the Head Start/Early Head Start center, families, and community resources. The ideal candidate will receive on-the-job training and work under the direction of the Center Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit children and families for enrollment
  • Conduct interviews to complete the enrollment process
  • Assign children to classrooms and prepare rosters
  • Manage record-keeping, including children's files, health data tracking, and immunization surveys
  • Coordinate health screenings, including growth assessments, developmental screenings, and blood pressure checks
  • Maintain contact with parents and serve as a resource to them
  • Follow up to ensure children receive medical and dental treatment
  • Develop and maintain a resource network and refer families to community agencies
  • Assist with center emergencies and provide support to parents
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with three years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Family Service/Social Work with two years' experience
  • Criminal background check, drug screen, and valid driver's license required
  • Knowledge of child and family health care, previous work experience with low-income families, and computer experience required
  • Head Start/Early Head Start experience desirable, Erie County resident preferred
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with a moderate noise level.
