Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine

Position Overview:
ECIAC, a collaborative and physician-owned Emergency Medicine group, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant for a full-time role within our emergency department. You will work closely with a team of residency-trained Emergency Medicine physicians and skilled Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Medicine or critical care is highly preferred. (New graduates with exceptional clinical skills and strong recommendations may be considered)
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Successful completion of national certification
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Iowa
- Possession of an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
- Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges at St. Luke's Hospital
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
About the Emergency Department:
- Annual Patient Volume: 55,000
- Designated as a Level III trauma center
- Facilities include 34 ED beds, 4 behavioral health beds, and 4 trauma beds
- Physician Coverage: 41 hours per day
- PA Coverage: 31 hours per day
- Shifts available: 7a-3p, 8a-5p, 4p-12a, 11p-6a
- Educational opportunities for PA students, physician residents, medical students, and pharmacy students
- Utilization of EPIC for electronic medical records
