Job Title: Customer Service Driver Medical Equipment

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Customer Service Driver Medical Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining medical equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer service to patients and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and set up medical equipment at patient residences and locations
  • Provide customer service and support to patients and referral sources over the phone and in-person
  • Conduct insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
  • Collect co-pays and deductible amounts
  • Complete all necessary delivery forms and paperwork
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, products, and services offered by the company
  • Provide education to patients and referral sources on qualifications for service and 3rd party billing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment, customer service, and deliveries
  • Experience in the medical field and administrative record management
  • Strong customer service background
  • Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement
Work Environment:

This role requires working in an office environment and driving a company vehicle for the majority of the workday. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and transport patient equipment and supplies, and work independently and as part of a team.
