Porsche Pro Job Description

As a key member of our team, the Porsche Pro will be responsible for selling vehicle accessories and aftermarket services to maximize dealership profit potential. This role requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet all sales goals and objectives, including department sales goals, personal sales goals, and personal income goals
  • Maximize the profitability of each sale by selling vehicle accessories and aftermarket services and ensuring 100 percent turnover to the F I department
  • Verify that all sales documentation and related paperwork has been correctly and fully completed
  • Supervise delivery preparation of all sold vehicles, ensuring that purchased options have been properly installed and that all features are fully operational
  • Coordinate delivery of vehicles to customers, providing tour of dealership facilities and introducing customer to appropriate dealership personnel including Service Manager or available Service Advisor
  • Understand the psychology of the customer and have the ability to use appropriate methods to draw them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close transaction
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with the customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone or email
  • Have thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services and can convey this information to customers
  • Direct customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet
  • Maintain an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business
  • Understand the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail automobile sales and ensure that internet programs are in compliance
  • Implement aggressive personal marketing plan to increase internet leads
  • Maintain reporting systems required by general management and the manufacturer
  • Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean
  • Follow all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards
  • Follow the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understand and follow all work rules and procedures and follow lawful directions from Supervisors
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintain a professional appearance for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy
  • Attend pertinent training on request
  • Assist with organizing and attend special events held at dealership or in the community
  • Attend company meetings as required

Requirements:
  • Able to establish personal sales and income goals and implement a plan of action to achieve goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication
  • Able to effectively promote the value and benefits of products and services using multiple communications methods, adjusting communication style as required
  • Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact retail automotive sales
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to interact well with others

This position requires a good deal of walking or standing, or this position could involve sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. This position works evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.

Required Education and Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent; and one to two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience: Two to four year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a safety-sensitive position. The essential functions of this position require a person to work with hazardous or flammable materials; AND/OR to complete tasks in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, including without limitation the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.
