Highgate Hotels, a premier real estate investment and hospitality management company, is seeking an experienced Executive Hotel Manager to lead our team at Residence Inn Arlington.

Job Summary:

The Executive Hotel Manager is responsible for driving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hotel Operations: Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and activities.
  • Financial Management: Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Team Development: Develop and motivate management personnel, providing coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and service recovery.
  • Hotel Maintenance: Inspect rooms regularly with the Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive team-oriented environment, promoting fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Business Development: Participate in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts and meeting with clients.
  • Training and Development: Complete required corporate training modules, becoming certified to train others as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with all levels of employees and guests, ensuring clear understanding of expectations and goals.
Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
