Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Convention Center Operations Manager to join our team at Smart City Networks. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of operational issues for our convention center, including labor, materials, cost control, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead all aspects of facility operational concerns for the entire facility.
  • Interface with staff and clients to resolve issues and direct staff to meet show timeframes.
  • Evaluate staff performance in written format on an annual basis and provide constructive feedback.
  • Control assets and expenses, providing all company products and services to clients.
  • May perform the role of Operations Manager or Customer Service Manager with direct supervision of technical staff.
Requirements
  • Years of increasing responsibility in telecommunications and show industry, with a trend of increasing management responsibility.
  • Computer literacy and strong skills in spreadsheets and word-processing, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in customer service software, preferably AESOP.
  • Proficiency in telecommunications and network products and services and basic and complex electrical services.
Working Conditions

At show/facility site, predominantly indoors with some time in non-environment-controlled atmosphere.
