Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Library Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our library support team, you will be responsible for providing technical data management information system (TDMIS) training to customers, maintaining access to all data and web-based repositories, and providing technical information services to agencies, shore commands, and Fleet units in the interest of Fleet readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide TDMIS training to customers and ensure they have the necessary skills to effectively use the system.
  • Maintain access to all data and web-based repositories, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide technical information services to agencies, shore commands, and Fleet units, responding to their requests for information and providing support as needed.
  • Receive, catalog, barcode, mark, label, and file documents for HUB files, ensuring that all documents are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Check-in, check-out, and re-issue documents to authorized customers, ensuring that all documents are properly tracked and accounted for.
  • Update TDMIS administrative files to maintain an accurate and effective system of operations, and consistency, within CORTEL sites.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and 3 years of experience, or vocational/technical training beyond high school and 1 year experience, or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • General experience: A minimum of one (1) year of practical word processing experience within the last 5 years, which includes knowledge of varied and advanced functions of different types of software.
  • Specialized experience: A minimum of one (1) year of practical word processing experience within the last 5 years which includes the organization and formatting of technical manuscripts and associated data to produce final documentation from rough drafts provided by engineers and technicians; Typing proficiency must be 45 words per minute with no more than 3 errors in 5 minutes; EQUIVALENCY: Formal specialized training, not inclusive of high school, may be substituted on the basis of one (1) month of training for one (1) month of specialized experience, not to exceed six (6) months.
  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience providing Library support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center.
