About the Role

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to join its Data and Collaboration Platforms Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide data solutions using modern data engineering techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, implement, and manage data solutions.
  • Lead incident response, investigation, and resolution efforts to ensure system availability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, leveraging strong business acumen.
  • Provide technical direction to data engineers, report developers, and database administrators.
  • Manage and resolve design integration risks and issues with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work on solutions related to big data platforms and cloud-based implementations to ensure systems are developed as per standards.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in modern cloud-based data architectures, big data management, and data engineering.
  • Experience in AWS-based data engineering and reporting solutions, Cloudera Data Platform, and Dev-Ops processes.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering using Spark, Python, and Informatica.
  • Application monitoring and operations, vendor management, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond to changes and developments.
