Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Content Marketing Specialist to join our team at OpenGov. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive content marketing strategies that align with our business objectives and target audience needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute content marketing plans that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support our overall marketing goals.
  • Create high-quality content across various channels, including blog posts, articles, case studies, whitepapers, infographics, and social media.
  • Collaborate closely with product marketers and growth marketers to build content throughout product journeys, ensuring alignment with demand generation goals.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to identify content gaps, optimize existing content, and create new content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Assist with keyword research to optimize content for search engines and improve organic visibility.
  • Provide content for email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and journeys.
  • Develop and implement social media content strategies to engage with our target audience and drive brand awareness.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new content opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest content marketing best practices and technologies, including AI and machine learning tools.
  • Measure and analyze content performance using key metrics such as website traffic, engagement rates, lead generation, and conversion rates throughout the buying cycle.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
  • 4+ years of professional experience in content marketing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content distribution, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience working with product marketers and growth/performance marketers.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to turn complex topics into engaging content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for researching, understanding, and writing about emerging technologies.
  • Experience with content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
