The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking an experienced Sales Specialist to join its Production Chemical Segment. This role will be responsible for daily sales and business development efforts, driving revenue growth and developing new business opportunities with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the chemical industry and be able to partner with sales teams to close complex sales.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2-3 years of experience in chemical sales, preferably in the life science, biopharma, diagnostic, microelectronics, or industrial markets
  • Experience in business development or sales in a business-to-business environment
  • BS degree or equivalent work experience required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize business and technical expertise to sell products and services to customers
  • Focus on promoting products and services to the Diagnostic, Life Science, Microelectronics, Medical Device, and Industrial market segments
  • Work with Avantor sales organizations and/or meet independently with customer key decision makers to identify areas for up-selling and cross-selling
  • Develop and present proposals to reduce customer processing, manufacturing, or administrative costs
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers to understand their strategic objectives and needs
