Lease Retention Sales Consultant

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lease Retention Sales Consultant to join our team at Rusnak Auto Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for consistently meeting or exceeding client retention and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Client Retention:
- Source clients through the AutoAlert System and evaluate potential opportunities for trade-in sales.
- Generate sales leads and make contact with clients to assess their current needs and provide recommendations.
- Set appointments with trade-in clients for trade evaluation and assist with product knowledge to facilitate the selection of a replacement vehicle.
- Identify and introduce clients with interest in a vehicle to the Sales Consultant best able to assist with a vehicle demonstration and sales transaction.
- Solicit dealership purchase of clients' vehicles if they have no interest in another vehicle.
- Consult with the Finance department to explore extended service contract coverage and present options to clients.
- Follow up with clients after their visit to assess their experience, thank them, and invite them back for their next purchase.
- Sales Objectives:
- Develop, implement, and adjust sales goals with sales management to achieve personal and company sales objectives.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals by satisfying the transportation needs of clients.
- Proactively work with sales management to develop action plans to correct performance and meet sales goals.
- Sell, lease, and deliver a pre-agreed upon monthly minimum amount of vehicles.
- Promptly and professionally greet and assist clients entering the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assist clients with selecting a vehicle by asking questions, listening carefully, and matching their expectations with our vehicles.
- Offer test drives and follow company policies and procedures.
- Know and understand company policies, rules, and regulations regarding automobile sales.
- Ensure that a member of the sales management team meets each client.
- Forward closed deals to the Finance and Insurance Manager with properly completed paperwork.
- Ensure that all sales orders are completed and paperwork is processed in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Deliver vehicles to clients and ensure they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduce clients to the Service Department Team and emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
- Follow up on post-delivery items to ensure continued client satisfaction.
- Current California Driver License with a satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
- Current California Sales License.
- Previous experience as a Sales Consultant or similar position in the automotive, retail, sales, or hospitality industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
High School Diploma or GED is desired.
