THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic team player for our Finance department, specifically in Accounting. This role is pivotal within the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and alignment with industry standards. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines, acting as a key partner in the hotel’s accounting processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Embody the company's principles to deliver exceptional hospitality and service.
  • Engage in various Finance and Accounting tasks, including invoice processing, journal entries, and vendor communications.
  • Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Assist in executing accounting policies and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with different hotel departments to enhance the efficiency of accounting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to operational standards.
  • Support purchasing functions and monitor inventory management.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payments and inquiries.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records.
  • Conduct cash handling duties in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • A strong affinity for community engagement and a passion for numbers.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in Finance or Accounting, or relevant experience in hospitality finance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.
