POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dynamic team player to join our Finance department in an Accounting capacity.

This role is pivotal within the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and alignment with industry accounting practices.

You will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial tasks, acting as a key partner in the hotel’s accounting processes and practices.

As a Staff Accountant, you will work closely with the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance, collaborating with various hotel teams to promote sound financial practices.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage in various finance and accounting activities, including processing invoices, managing journal entries, organizing financial documentation, and responding to vendor inquiries.

Maintain adherence to the company's standards for a Respectful Workplace, fostering a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive environment.

Assist in executing financial procedures and policies, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

Collaborate with different hotel departments to facilitate efficient completion of accounting tasks.

Ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations, including SOX and PCI, while upholding company policies.

Manage Accounts Payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.

Support purchasing activities and monitor inventory processes to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payments and inquiries, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all transactions.

Conduct cash handling responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company policies to mitigate risks.

Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

A passion for community engagement and a strong affinity for numbers are essential. A degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant experience in hospitality or finance.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines are crucial.

Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach are necessary for success in this role.

Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry is required.

Physical ability to lift and transport items as needed.
