Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a team of electrical design engineers through the complete hardware development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, layout finalization, supplier engagement, system integration, and testing.
  • Assist the team in developing and implementing effective work schedules.
  • Encourage collaboration with embedded firmware teams across various functions.
  • Act as a representative in significant architectural discussions and cross-site platform initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior technical personnel to establish foundational architectures for future projects.
  • Support cross-functional innovation strategies aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Foster transparent and accessible workflows for all stakeholders.
  • Engage in operational roadmap planning for the product portfolio.
  • Contribute to lifecycle management efforts, including end-of-life processes, cost reduction strategies, and field complaint investigations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular feedback sessions.
  • Assist the team in identifying and managing risks effectively.
  • Play an active role in mentoring team members to enhance their job satisfaction and performance.
  • Develop career progression pathways for team members by identifying and nurturing their competencies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting high-speed PCB designs for embedded systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading product development teams.
  • Proven track record in coaching and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical design standards for commercial applications.
  • Experience with compliance and design for international markets.
  • Expertise in EMC design and debugging.
  • Proficient in signal integrity and power integrity design.
  • Experience in both digital and analog design and simulation.
  • Knowledge of thermal management and reliability design principles.
  • Competence with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and thermal chambers.
  • Familiarity with standard communication interfaces.
  • Knowledge of common MCU, FPGA, and SoC technologies.
  • Experience with embedded Linux development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Six Sigma or Project Management certification.
  • Understanding of digital imaging fundamentals.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
