Job Summary

The Service Desk Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and guests at Planet Fitness. This role involves administering the service desk, selling memberships, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well independently and with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet members and guests, answer questions, and handle complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor club access, answer phone calls, and provide information to prospects.
  • Sell memberships, write agreements, and enter new members into the database.
  • Operate the Point-of-Sale system, collect balances on past due accounts, and maintain the customer service front desk.
  • Schedule appointments for fitness training sessions, complete the Club Walk-Around, and perform beginning and end-of-shift procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and equipment, including cleaning equipment, dusting, wiping down surfaces, and vacuuming and mopping floors.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and with others.
