Job Summary

The Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a highly skilled WOCN Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide consultative and direct clinical care services for patients with ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient outcomes and identify populations at risk to propose solutions.
  • Provide education services for nursing, medical, and allied health staff and consumers related to ostomies and wounds.
  • Consult with all levels of nursing and physician patient care stakeholders.
  • Assist in research activities aimed at improving clinical services and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred, with leadership or nursing education experience preferred.
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont.
  • CWOCN Certification (or required within 1 year of hire).
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.
  • Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
  • Ability to assess and interpret data regarding the patient's status to determine the appropriate plan of care.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Compensation

$56.50 per hour.
