As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing consultative and direct clinical care services, evaluating patient outcomes, and proposing solutions to improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide consultative and direct clinical care services for patients with ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence needs.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and identify populations at risk to propose solutions to improve patient care.
  • Provide education services to nursing, medical, and allied health staff and consumers related to ostomies and wounds.
  • Consult with all levels of nursing and physician patient care stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assist in research activities aimed at improving clinical services and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred, with leadership or nursing education experience preferred.
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont.
  • CWOCN Certification (or required within 1 year of hire).
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.
  • Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
  • Ability to assess and interpret data regarding the patient's status to determine the appropriate plan of care.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
