About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Kroger Corporate Office Retail Operations team as an intern. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment, working with our Retail Operations department to drive projects and refine your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply theoretical concepts acquired in the classroom to retail operations line of business
  • Interact with all business sections of the Retail Operations department and other corporate groups
  • Assist the Retail Operations team with daily tasks and gain understanding of the responsibilities and retail business
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of business reporting functions
  • Support the teams' projects
  • Participate in weekly department meetings
  • Travel to off-site locations as required
  • Complete specific internship assignments, as requested
  • Complete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and presents to leadership team or appropriate managers
Requirements
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Open to all majors, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.2
  • Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work
  • Ability to respond to changing business priorities
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
