Job Title: Specialist, Network Planning Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Planning Engineer to join our team at L3Harris. As a Network Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the FAA/FTI program by supervising the installation and activation of FTI equipment and service orders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute and document formal acceptance testing of FTI products and services per program requirements

* Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement scheduled network maintenance events

* Troubleshoot IP network configurations and possess an intermediate level of experience

* Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet

* Strong customer interface skills supporting coordination of both Telco providers and Harris field technician site access as required

* Test, troubleshoot, and validate communication circuits per IEEE, ITU, TIA, ISO and FTI specifications

* Collaborate closely with FTI Engineering team members to resolve implementation and acceptance issues as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience

* Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

* In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

* Experience with Microsoft Office applications

* Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, RAD

* Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv

* Experience with drawings and technical procedures

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent of a 4-year accredited degree in a technical discipline

* MEF 2.0 certification and/or equivalent level experience preferred

* CCNA Certification or equivalent work experience preferred
