Job Summary

The Senior Construction Manager is a key member of our Sustainability Infrastructure Building - Solutions & Technologies business with Johnson Controls. This role is responsible for the construction management of assigned building retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer and subcontractor relationships.
  • Control project costs, change/scope creep, and ensure compliance with provincial, local, and federal legal requirements.
  • Implement site safety and security procedures and project work rules.
  • Develop and maintain a Project Execution Plan for each assigned project.
  • Establish customer touch points throughout the life cycle of projects to gain feedback on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
  • Management experience with projects related to HVAC, Controls/BAS, Lighting, and Renewable Energy systems is desired.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel, with varying project assignments outside of assigned geography.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED certification or PMP Certification.
