Fiber Splicer II Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Splicer II to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a Fiber Splicer II, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fiber optic cables, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of cable, including testing, activating, and troubleshooting equipment after installation.
  • Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, and track daily production to ensure accurate material usage counts.
  • Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Perform other splicing-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship.
  • Valid standard driver's license required.
  • Splicing experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (overtime, after hours, weekends).
  • Focused and driven individual who can perform difficult manual labor tasks in adverse conditions.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, balance, climb, crawl, lift, hold, or stoop while on shift.
  • Able to lift, climb, and carry weight of up to 80lbs.
