Job Title: Medical Interpreter - Spanish

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Interpreter to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Medical Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation services to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and patient care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment with diverse populations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a non-judgmental attitude.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Completed accredited medical interpreter training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college experience preferred.
  • Experience interpreting in a healthcare or human service organization.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
