Job Overview

BAE Systems, a prominent entity in the defense sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst. This role is integral to our Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business's Modernization portfolio, which encompasses various construction, sustainment, and retrofit initiatives.

As a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be instrumental in the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of diverse projects characterized by different contract types, sizes, and complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the formulation, establishment, maintenance, and oversight of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB).
  • Track and reconcile all expenditures against project budgets, assess cost and schedule performance, conduct estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts, and provide insights into any variances, implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Act as the primary financial liaison with program management and operations, supporting the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of various projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Proven experience in financial-focused project controls.
  • Strong background in financial analysis, variance analysis, data analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
  • Expertise in using Power BI or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience in defense or government contracting.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience with Integrated Program Management (IPM).

Compensation Information:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $121,700. Please note that this range is based on market pay structures, and individual salaries are influenced by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
