Job Overview

BAE Systems, a prominent entity in the defense sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst. This position is integral to our Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business's Modernization portfolio, which encompasses a diverse range of construction, sustainment, and retrofit initiatives.

As a vital member of the finance team, reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of projects that vary in contract type, scale, and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the formulation, maintenance, and oversight of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB).
  • Oversee and reconcile all expenditures against project budgets, assess cost and schedule performance, conduct estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts, and provide insights into any variances that may occur, implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Act as the primary financial liaison with program management and operations, supporting the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects across various contract types and complexities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree coupled with four years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven experience in financial project controls.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, variance analysis, data analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborative and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
  • Expertise in Power BI or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience in defense or government contracting.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience with Integrated Program Management (IPM).

Compensation and Benefits:

The full-time salary range for this position is $121,700. This range is reflective of our market pay structures, but individual salaries are influenced by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
