Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse delivers direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act, employing therapeutic communication techniques in daily interactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Identifying nursing challenges tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Planning personalized patient care through an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Engaging in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating care that aligns with the hospital's mission and vision.

In a charge nurse capacity, Registered Nurses oversee daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Assigning staff based on patient needs and staff competencies.
  • Serving as a clinical resource and role model for colleagues.
  • Responding promptly to inquiries from physicians, staff, or patients.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN Licensure in Tennessee or compact licensure.
- BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS, CPI, and TNCC preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in ICU or PACU settings is required.

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility recognized as Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience.
