Position Overview:
As an Environmental Safety Specialist at Oracle, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and oversight of our environmental safety initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our operations comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, review, and implement Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures across the organization.
2. Conduct regular assessments and enhancements of existing EHS programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
3. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental and occupational health regulations.
4. Create and manage necessary EHS permits, including those related to air, water, waste, and emergency response.
5. Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
6. Stay informed about new and emerging EHS regulatory requirements and adapt programs accordingly.
7. Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions as needed.
8. Follow up on action plans resulting from audits and incident investigations.
9. Support EHS management in report writing, statistical analysis, and trend studies related to incidents and accidents.
10. Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) program at local sites.
11. Collaborate on the corporate sustainability program implementation.
12. Act as a liaison for compliance with the corporate business continuity program.
13. Contribute to the development of the annual EHS budget for local sites.
14. Review and update budget reports for accuracy and consistency as directed by the EHS Manager.
15. Determine project scopes, obtain vendor quotes, and manage supplier relationships.
16. Collaborate with the contracts team for necessary contract reviews and negotiations.
17. Manage regulatory reporting to appropriate agencies as required.
18. Maintain an organized document management system for easy retrieval of EHS compliance documentation.

Travel Requirements:
This role may require travel to various regional locations for EHS compliance audits, hazard evaluations, and training sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are preferred.
- Familiarity with local EHS regulations and fire codes.
- Strong research skills and comprehension of regulatory language to maintain compliance.
